Exterior: My wife and I designed and built our house, with the help of some good friends, starting in 1988. We moved into the partially finished house the next year, and have been working on finishing and furnishing it since then. We built the kitchen one year, drawer fronts the next, and drawer pulls the following year. My wife is a wonderful partner, participating in every aspect, including hanging all 78 kitchen drawers. Building our house is one of the highlights of my life.
